Pylon Signs with Brand Toppers
Freeway-visible pylons with flag-brand toppers fabricated to Marriott, Hilton, Best Western, Choice, and Wyndham PIP specifications. Pole covers, concrete foundation, LED cabinet.
From the pylon with the flag-brand topper visible from the 405 to the ADA room-number plaque on every guest door, we fabricate every sign a Southern California hotel needs — to Marriott, Hilton, Best Western, and Quality Inn brand standards. C-45 licensed. Franchise-approval fluent. Phased installs that keep rooms occupied throughout the project.
Hotels operate at the intersection of two strict standards: the franchise brand PIP (Property Improvement Plan), which dictates exact pylon topper geometry, Pantone colors, cabinet dimensions, and approved vendors — and California ADA Title III plus CBC 11B, which govern every room-number plaque, amenity door, and wayfinding sign. Miss either standard and the property fails brand audit or CASp inspection. Every sign we build for hotels is engineered to pass both simultaneously.
Freeway-visible pylons with flag-brand toppers fabricated to Marriott, Hilton, Best Western, Choice, and Wyndham PIP specifications. Pole covers, concrete foundation, LED cabinet.
Low-profile monuments for boutique and independent hotels, including multi-venue on-site restaurant and spa tenant listings on shared cabinets.
Post-mounted directional signage, valet drop-off, self-park, loading zone, registration, and arrival-sequence wayfinding throughout the property grounds.
Dimensional brushed-aluminum letters, backlit brand walls, registration desk signage, elevator lobby IDs, and dimensional brand logos in the lobby and concierge areas.
Full guest-room number set with tactile characters, Grade 2 Braille, room-type pictograms. Common-area doors — pool, fitness, business center, ballroom, meeting rooms — in the matched system.
California health-code pool rules, spa capacity signs, hours of operation, guest-only notices, fitness center and business center ID — all coordinated to brand visual system.
Marriott, Hilton, Choice Hotels (Quality Inn, Comfort Inn, Clarion, Sleep Inn), Wyndham (Days Inn, Super 8, Ramada), Best Western, IHG — we fabricate to current brand specs and handle the brand-approval submittal so the property passes PIP audit.
Most existing pylons have sound structure and just need a new pole cover, LED retrofit, and updated cabinet faces. We refurbish at 40–60 percent the cost of full replacement, same visual result.
Guest-room numbers, amenity doors, ADA parking, pool rules, restrooms — every permanent sign on the property built to ADA Title III and California CBC 11B so CASp inspection is a formality.
We install pylon work on low-occupancy days, room-number plaques by floor during housekeeping turns, and exterior channel letters after-hours — no room has to come off the booking platform for the project.
A Quality Inn franchise property came to us with a sun-bleached pylon pole cover, a dim yellow-output LED cabinet, and a brand topper that no longer matched the current Choice Hotels PIP specification after the brand's visual refresh. Rather than replace the entire 28-foot pylon — which would have meant new structural engineering, a new concrete foundation, and a fresh LADBS permit — we refurbished. We fabricated a new full-height pole cover in aluminum with the current Choice Hotels Pantone-matched finish, retrofitted the existing cabinet with UL Listed warm-white LED modules, built a new flag-brand topper to the current PIP geometry and colorway, and replaced the cabinet face panels with new second-surface vinyl graphics. We coordinated the Choice Hotels brand-approval submittal, pulled the LADBS permit amendment required for the retrofit, and installed the entire package in a single Tuesday with a crane rental and a two-hour parking-lot closure. The property was back to full check-in activity that afternoon, now PIP-compliant and visible from the freeway again.
Scope: Pole cover, LED retrofit, brand topper, face panels, PIP submittal, LADBS permit.
Lead time: 6 weeks signed proposal to relit sign.
Pylons with flag-brand toppers typically run $18,000–$55,000 installed — engineering, foundation, permit, pole cover, illuminated cabinet. Quality Inn, Best Western, Hampton Inn-level pylons around $22,000–$35,000. Resort-scale pylons with digital message centers can exceed $60,000.
Yes. Marriott, Hilton, Best Western, Wyndham, Choice Hotels (Quality Inn, Comfort Inn), IHG, and Hyatt. We pull the current PIP signage spec, fabricate to it, and submit for brand sign-off before install.
Yes. ADA Title III and California CBC 11B require tactile, Braille, non-glare finish, proper mount height on every guest-room and restroom sign, plus ballroom, pool, fitness, and business-center doors. We fabricate the full property set as one matched system.
Yes. Most existing pylons have sound structure — the problem is a faded pole cover, dim LEDs, or outdated brand topper. Refurb is typically 40–60 percent less than full replacement.
Complete rebrand — pylon, monument, entrance letters, pool/amenity, ADA room numbers, interior wayfinding — 8–14 weeks signed to installed. Brand approval adds 2–4 weeks. Phased installs keep rooms occupied.
