Case Study

Shootz Neon.

Project Overview

Shootz wanted an unmistakable focal point for their new dining room — a neon sign that would anchor the space, reinforce their brand, and give guests a reason to stop and take photos. They came to us with a rough concept and a tight timeline.

Genius Signs developed the shape, refined the proportions against the wall the sign would live on, and fabricated the piece in our Gardena neon shop. The finished sign is hand-bent, powder-coated, and installed with a clean electrical hookup hidden behind the backer.

Sign Type & Materials

The sign uses hand-bent glass tubing filled with argon / neon gas mixes tuned for the brand palette. The backer is laser-cut aluminum with a powder-coat finish that complements the dining room's color story. All transformers are UL Listed and installed behind the wall for a fully flush, clean front face.

Challenges & Solutions

Custom neon is unforgiving — every bend has to match the artwork exactly, and the backer shape has to register perfectly with the glass. We produced bent-glass proofs before committing to the final run and adjusted the backer cut files twice to dial in the fit.

Results

The finished sign lives as the main feature wall of the restaurant. Guests photograph it constantly, and it's become part of the brand identity on social media — exactly the payoff the client was after.
