Project Overview
Primal Cuts opened as a modern butcher counter inside a bustling Los Angeles food hall, surrounded by competing storefronts and bright signage on every side. They needed a custom sign package that would read cleanly at a distance, reinforce their brand, and hold its own visually in a dense retail environment.
Genius Signs worked from the client's brand guidelines to fabricate a set of front-lit channel letters alongside an illuminated logo treatment — all built in-house and installed in a single site visit.
Sign Type & Materials
The letter set uses 0.063" aluminum returns with 3/16" acrylic faces, fitted with UL Listed LED modules for bright, even front illumination. The logo mark was fabricated as a separate illuminated element and mounted in register with the letter set for a cohesive finished look.
Challenges & Solutions
Mounting conditions inside a food hall are always tighter than a standalone storefront — tenant sign criteria, shared electrical, and coordination with the property management team all had to be handled in advance. Our install crew coordinated directly with the landlord and food hall operations to complete the install outside of service hours.
Results
The finished signage gives Primal Cuts a confident, premium presence within the food hall. The LED modules deliver consistent illumination across every letter, and the brand reads clearly from the far end of the concourse.
