Project Overview
Rodeo Public Markets operates community-centered food halls that bring local food vendors together under one roof. Inside each hall, every stall needs its own landmark — a sign a customer can spot from across the concourse and recognize instantly. Rodeo loves neon, and they want every tenant sign to be creative with neon incorporated.
Genius Signs is Rodeo's ongoing tenant signage partner. We handle the tenant signs across their locations — Rodeo 39, Rodeo X, Rodeo River St, and Rodeo 72 — under a multi-sign agreement that gives the market and its vendors better pricing when several signs are built together. The signs shown here, for The Basket Taco Co, Egg Bred, and Las Chelaguas y Birrieria, are examples from that program: each carries its tenant's own brand while sharing a consistent scale and mounting approach, so every market reads as one curated space.
Sign Type & Materials
Each blade sign is a painted aluminum cabinet hung from a projecting bracket, so it reads from both directions as customers walk the hall. The graphics are drawn in exposed neon and LED lighting: The Basket Taco Co pairs its red woven-basket logo with glowing lettering and the tagline "Not Your Average Tacos," Egg Bred tops its "Craft Breakfast Sandwiches" panel with white and yellow neon egg graphics, and Las Chelaguas y Birrieria gets a neon-outlined sombrero character over illuminated script.
All three cabinets were fabricated in our Gardena shop — welded aluminum construction, durable painted finishes, and UL Listed electrical components throughout.
Challenges & Solutions
Many distinct brands have to live inside each venue — and new vendors keep arriving as the markets grow. Each tenant's identity calls for different colors, artwork, and lettering, yet the signs need a consistent size, projection, and mounting height so every concourse stays clean and legible. We develop each design with the vendor and with Rodeo, so every sign feels custom without breaking the hall's rhythm — and because the signs come through one shop under one agreement, tenants get better pricing than they would ordering alone.
Interior blade signs also get viewed from a few feet away, not from across a parking lot — every neon bend, paint edge, and seam is on display. Our fabricators and neon benders finished each cabinet to close-up standards before it left the shop.
Results
Each stall now has a glowing landmark that customers can spot from anywhere in the hall, day or night. The neon-and-aluminum blade signs give the vendors real storefront presence inside a shared space.
The collection has become part of each market's character — and the partnership keeps growing as Rodeo opens new locations and brings in new vendors. It shows what a multi-tenant venue gains from one signage partner: every operator gets its own creative neon identity, and the venue gets consistency and volume pricing.
