Chicas Tacos Neon.
Project Overview
Chicas Tacos came to us with a tight brief — they needed a compact neon sign for a new Downtown LA location that would read as warm, playful, and clearly on-brand. The sign needed to balance the yellow script logotype with a red arrow callout.
We refined the artwork for neon bendability, produced a bent-glass proof, and fabricated the finished sign in two colors of hand-bent tubing. The piece ships as a single mounted unit ready to hang with a concealed power hookup.
Sign Type & Materials
Yellow and red hand-bent glass tubing mounted on a laser-cut, powder-coated aluminum backer. UL Listed transformer in an accessible enclosure for long-term serviceability.
Challenges & Solutions
Neon script always requires tuning — tight curves and internal counters need to be adjusted so the glass can be bent cleanly without breaking the character of the logotype. We worked through two proof rounds with the client to get the line weight and baseline right.
Results
The finished sign is compact but commanding — the yellow script glows warm against the dining room backdrop and the red arrow reinforces the brand's playful tone.
